  • Introducing The Louise Dress ~ Free Pattern

    The Louise Dress was designed specifically for Project Dress A Girl. A way to thank the sewing community for there generosity in dress donations. There has been a need to create larger sized dresses for a colder climate, and a dress that is not oversized for an older girl.

    This dress fits the brief. Fabrics such as corduroy, denim or cotton can be used to make this dress. It is a European size 10 and requires 2m of fabric to make. Did I mention the pattern is free which also contains written instructions!

    When sewing for charity there is some guess work involved. What size dress to make? Where is my dress going? Dressing a girl anywhere in the world, well sometimes these answers cannot be answered.

    Here is a chart to take some of the guess work out of how long should my dress be. This will come in very handy for making T-shirt dresses or making a dress designed for an older girl. We don't always think about height.
